Fish Object Project

Here is my first piece of work that I created while starting the Art & Design 90-Credit Diploma. We were all given an object, mine was a toy fish model and we had to make a repeated pattern using the object. Firstly I created some designs; by minimalizing the object into a simple line drawing and then creating the repeated look. I then started to add other objects that corresponded with the object, so I chose sea weed. After it was best to add some water colour to the pattern. I wanted to give a shaded tonal effect using colour. When I had finished, I scanned in my work and used Photoshop to invert the colours to create a completely different feel to the pattern.
