Urban Environment Project

Here is some more research into the Urban Environment Project. I have included the artists which has inspired me to make my final outcome and added some more ideas. On the right it shows some of my photography of Cabot Circus at different times of the day, night and seasons to get a true reflection of the place. I've also added lots of text of my feelings towards the secondary evidence I've collected.

Urban Environment Project

These two pages are part of my research into the Urban Environment Project. I chose Cabot Circus as part of my main research into further my final outcome because I'm interested in fashion and the architecture of the building including the scale, height, colours, shapes and proportions. In these two pages it has a lot of information into the construction and what its true aims and uses are, showing mind maps and drawings.

Artist Research- Becca McCharen & Francesca Maria Bandini

These two artist pages of Becca McCharen & Francesca Maria Bandini helped me so much to inspire me to link buildings and architecture to fashion. By expressing the shape, enlarging, managing the proportion and scale.

Artist Research- Stephen Wiltshire & Les Matthews

Here are two Artist Research pages of Stephen Wiltshire & Les Matthews. The artists are very similar as they mainly create their artwork from cities, but in completely different types of media, which has helped me to expand in create more artwork using different techniques in different ways.

Artist Research - Book of Kells and Ralph Steadman

Here are two Artist Research pages of the Book of Kells and Ralph Steadman. I really enjoyed researching these artists as they were a lot different to the types of artists that I've looked at. The artists work was very ancient but incredible as some of the techniques are still used on contemporary and modern art.

Artist Research- Dan Young & Julia Rothman

Here are two Artist Research pages of Dan Young & Julia Rothman. As our project was on objects these artists are influenced and inspired by objects and they both use them in their artwork. I've created some transcriptions of their work with photos and what I personally think of what they do.

Artist Research-Alexander McQueen

Here is an artist research page on Alexander McQueen. I'd have to admit he is my and nearly everyone's favourite fashion designer, but his work is so incredible as he's never afraid to go a bit over the top. His beautiful designs and the way the shapes and materials used enhance every aspect. On this page I've created two transcriptions of his work and added photos of his work with some text about how I feel about his work.
